Fort Worth Weekly’s annual “Best Of” issue hits stands and the Internets this week!

Congrats to our resident companies The Cliburn, Fort Worth Opera, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and Texas Ballet Theater  for scooping up awards in the Fort Worth Weekly’s annual “Best Of” issue.

The Cliburn won Reader’s Choice for Best Classical Music Performance for the Cliburn Finals; The Cliburn was also named by critics as Best Performing Arts Organization.

Texas Ballet Theater’s The Nutcracker was named by critics as the Best Dance Production and critics also hailed TBT dancers Carolyn Judson and Lucas Priolo as Best Solo Dance Performances.

Critics wrote that Fort Worth Opera’s Audrey Luna (who blew the roof off the joint during FWO’s Ariadne auf Naxos) offered Best Classical Music Performance.

Readers chose Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra’s concert with Rufus Wainwright as the Best Show at Bass Hall in the Last 12 Months, while critics picked Stuffed & Unstrung, presented by Performing Arts Fort Worth.

Fort Worth Symphony’s annual Concerts in the Garden was named Best Outdoor Cultural Event, and the Symphony’s “Musician Spotlight” documentary shorts, created by our friends Erik Clapp and Paul Unger, was named by critics as Best Film Series.
