Dallas-Fort Worth theater critics have spoken: MEMPHIS is a smash hit! Just look at all these great reviews:

Theater Jones loved the show, and had especially kind words for the two leads, Bryan Fenkart (Huey) and Felicia Boswell (Felicia). First, Fenkart: “As Huey, Fenkart brings all the character’s goofy sweetness and fools-rush-in passion to life.” Now, Boswell: “(She’s) terrific.” Reviewer Jan Farrington had this to say of their on-stage romance: “(They) bring a sweet sizzle to their love story.”

Star-Telegram reviewer Punch Shaw said Fenkart and Boswell “carry the show beautifully” and that “…(it’s) easy to understand how this show waltzed away with the best musical Tony Award” in 2010.

Joel Taylor of The Column with John Garcia called MEMPHIS “a masterpiece.”

In addition to garnering great reviews, the cast spent Wednesday morning and afternoon appearing on local TV.

Cast member Lindsay Roberts practically blew the roof off of WFAA’s Good Morning Texas with her rousing rendition of Colored Woman. After her performance, Bryan Fenkart jumped in for a quick and fun interview.
